Join our Corporate Team

Hawkins Hatton advises businesses and their owners on corporate matters. We are looking for a Corporate Partner to lead transactions, develop our corporate practice and support colleagues across the firm. You will also work closely with our real estate and dispute resolution teams to give clients joined-up advice when matters span more than one area. 

The role is flexible, with Hybrid/ WFH/ Midlands/ Cardiff/ Bristol opportunities available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead corporate transactions for business owners, investors and their advisers, from instruction to completion. 

  • Advise clients clearly and practically on commercial and legal risk. 

  • Supervise matters and support the quality and development of the corporate team. 

  • Maintain relationships with clients, referrers and professional advisers. 

  • Contribute to decisions about how the corporate practice develops  

EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES 

  • 8+ PQE 

  • A qualified solicitor in England and Wales with substantial experience of leading corporate transactions for private business clients. 

  • Sound commercial judgement and the ability to manage a transaction, and the people working on it, to a deadline. 

  • Experience of supervising other lawyers. 

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT 

Partners contribute to business development. This may include building on existing client and referrer relationships and developing new ones. Client following is ideal but not necessary.  

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES 

Commercial, practical and clear in how you communicate. Credible with business owners and professional advisers. Collaborative, with a constructive approach to leading and developing colleagues.

This is a senior role with the opportunity to influence the continued development of Hawkins Hatton’s corporate practice, lead high-quality transactions and build strong client and referrer relationships.
